1. Introduction
With current organizational models crumbling, we see severe impacts on natural ecosystems, human inter-relationships, and our overall future on this planet.
In 2009, Bitcoin was born and brought blockchain technology to the masses; an unstoppable database run by anyone who sees the benefit to participate in it. Over the years, this technology evolved and gave us smart contracts, scaling solutions, and different participation models. Eventually, along with these other innovations, the idea of a DAO was introduced - a self-governing entity, fully living within the digital realm of society. Humans can choose to interact with a DAO based on whether they feel aligned with the set parameters in its code, the other humans interacting with the DAO, and its mission.
We believe that embarking upon the journey of a DAO is part of a larger systemic change pattern to give power back to the people, community, and creators.
In this document, VEME will outline how it intends to become a fully self-governing decentralized organization - a transparent ecosystem that encourages the participation of all who aim to serve the greater mission.
About VEME
VEME is a platform for Creator DAOs that is powered by several web 3.0 architectures which solve the major pain points in both social networks and the creator economy.
VEME exists to transform web 2 social networks into web 3 communal networks by unlocking the financial power of co-creation. We envision a future where people make their living by participating in communities that they love.
VEME has 4 main components that form the foundation of its architecture and platform. The VOLTAGE protocol, the VeFi Protocol and the Aini NFT Launchpad, the Knexus DAO HR Framework.
Voltage: Legal NFT Protocol
The Voltage Protocol is designed to legally protect content NFTs, validate them for originality, and create ‘internal wallets’ inside of the NFTs to collect revenues from streaming and licensing. Voltage ensures protection for both the artists and the communities themselves while redefining what it means to be a legally sound NFT in the age of DAOs.
To build the Voltage architecture, VEME worked with some of the top legal teams in the world to develop new Creative Commons and marketplace licenses for NFT-based content. With this technology, you unlock the ability to license, remix and co-create content in a single click.
Voltage redefines NFTs; NFTs are assets and legal contracts, as well as demarcations of access and utility within the system.
In summary, Voltage Solves For 4 Things.
Legality & Originality in NFTs, bringing trust back into the space
Centralized Revenue & Royalty Collection For Media
Dynamic NFTs that can contain redeemable rewards
Lack of remuneration systems in the remix economy
AINI: NFT Powered DAO Launchpad To Fund Creative Projects
VEME is developing an NFT DAO launchpad to ‘kickstart’ each creator DAO: a unique method of funding and starting a community through the pre-selling of NFTs. We have developed a custom contract that can seamlessly convert an ERC 721 minting contract into a DAO.
VeFi: DeFi Protocol Built To Collateralize DAOs and Voltage NFTs
VEME has created a DeFi protocol called ‘VeFi’ to create a decentralized bank for creatives to grow their communities. This works directly with Voltage to collateralize content-based NFTs, provide interest on token loans, and become the ‘bank’ for DAOs.
Knexus: HR & Reputation Framework For Working Cross-DAO
VEME is developing its own ‘HR’ and talent portal so that people can work across communities and DAOs. We use on-chain reputation: We combine ‘social’ and ‘work’ without needing a complex résumé and formal infrastructure; simply a list of gifts/skills and a link as well as the TX hash. The work you do for DAOs speaks for itself and is fully transparent on-chain.
Dapps: API Integrations To Further VEME
One of the key aspects of VEME is its open-source nature and the ability for other DAOs & companies to utilize the integrated protocols and create their own Dapp integrations. VEME currently has 2 Dapps fully developed and ready for testing.
